Sunday Worship Service

11:00 a.m.

115 South Morrissey Avenue
Santa Cruz, CA 95062

We meet at the Midtown Community Center (115 S Morrissey). We share the building with another church who meets on Sundays just before our service.

What to Expect

A church that is rooted in the Word of God and prayer. A community that hungers and thirsts for righteousness. A body that comes before Christ with reverence and anticipation.

Our worship joins the practices of the most ancient traditions of the early church with current expressions of the faith. When we gather on Sundays, the center of our worship is the celebration of the Eucharist: God pours out his grace on us as we receive the gift of his son Jesus Christ.

Come as you are, connect with Christ’s body, and be transformed.

We look forward to meeting you!

At Redeemer we love children and are intentional in our approach to their spiritual growth. It's our goal to facilitate a developmentally appropriate process of guided discovery and discipleship for our children. Each Sunday we spend time reading God’s word, praying, and growing in our faith.

Come and join us as we encourage and build up our youth in their walk with Jesus.

Our Sunday Classes

Available during our Sunday Worship Service.

Every Sunday

Our Sprouts class meets in the small children’s classroom upstairs.

Every Sunday

Our Saplings class meets in the large children’s classroom upstairs.

First & Third Sundays

Our Seeds class meets downstairs in the toddler room.

Sign-In Procedure

Parents can sign children into their classes just before the service begins. Our children’s leaders will bring the kids back into the sanctuary during Announcements so they can rejoin their parents and participate in Holy Communion.

Family Sundays

Any 5th Sunday of the month, in lieu of their classes, children will join our main worship service for a special “Family Sunday.” This shortened service, with the kids more involved, will help teach them how to be a part of our worship, and also teach adults that the children are an important part of our church.

CCO Redeemer

CCO Redeemer aims to connect college students and young adults with God, the local Church, and one another.

As a ministry, we aim to grow together in these main areas: (adapted from the Anglican Catechism "To Be A Christian")

Beginning in Christ

A  deeper understanding of the world beginning in Christ, created in goodness by God yet broken in sin.

Believing in Christ

To grasp the significance to the good news of Jesus, believing in Christ’s redemption and restoration, for ourselves, one another, and for the whole world.

Belonging to Christ

A deeper individual and communal experience with God and fellow believers that models our ultimate belonging to Christ.

Becoming like Christ

A commitment to discern God’s invitations to become like Christ, living out what we’ve learned in our daily lives.

Ministry Gatherings

Kyrie Campus Ministry

CCO Redeemer's on-campus ministry at UC Santa Cruz is called Kyrie, adapted from the Greek phrase "Kyrie Eleison", meaning "Lord Have Mercy."

Evensong

Renewal Groups

Renewal Groups are a space where we:

Give and receive member Care.
Nurture mutually beneficial Relationships.
Invest in our spiritual Formation.
Engage our community in Service.

At Redeemer we are Building a Sanctuary of Renewal—that is, a safe place to experience God reclaim, restore, and repurpose us.

The manner in which build this Sanctuary is characterized our four values—Rooted, Rhythmic, Reverent, Redemptive.

Renewal Groups are the lab in which we learn to apply these values to our daily life with God and his people. They are a space where we take seriously our discipleship to Jesus and formation in the Spirit, to the glory of God our Father.

Rooted

In Renewal Groups we have the opportunity to invest ourselves as lifelong learners of Holy Scripture and the Great Tradition. We discover ourselves to be players in God’s great narrative, and grow in stability within it.

Rhythmic

We have the opportunity to embody our faith in disciplined practices, to help direct our desires and affections Godward, and facilitate an ongoing conversion of life in the way and manner of Jesus.

Reverent

Renewal Group members have the opportunity to invest in relational health with God, others, self, and creation. We offer and receive care, and practice the art of obedience to God and mutual submission to one another.

Redemptive

We share the opportunity to embody, proclaim, and demonstrate the Good News of Jesus through concrete acts of service and missional endeavor.
